Priceline Hotel: 4* on North/South Las Vegas Strip

I am looking for a 4* hotel on or near the strip and have tried the rebidding strategy and have come up short so far. I have tried for both 4* and 5*. I have bid up to 110 for 5* as well.

Dates are 4/13/12-4/14/12

any help I can get is very much appreciated

Are you looking for two nights or just one?

Also, have you checked Hotwire for your dates (upper left hand corner)? You might see something there you'd like.

We will only be there one night but I would like something near the strip. I know it's hard to do Friday night since people come there for a full weekend. I did find a good deal on HOTWIRE this morning for what likely would've been the Tropicana-Hampton Inn but unfortunately I think it went away this afternoon.

Would be the Trump be an acceptable 5* possibility? Additionally, what would be your desired max budget per night, and what have you bid up to at the 4* level?

If possible, I would like to stay away from the Trump, just from reading the mixed reviews on here and elsewhere. I have bid upto $68 for the 4* and $110 for 5*

What is your maximum bid at each star level? At current rates i'm guessing a 5* hotel will likely cost in the $150 area... a 4* hotel in the ~$100 area.

The highest I can go for 5* is 120. I am more comfortable with a 4* and was wondering how you got to the ~100 estimate.The board shows that some users have been able to get TI for significantly less than that.

If the former, can you please provide the details of the purchase (star rating, city, zone, hotel, room rate, dates (and in the case of HOTWIRE the amenities shown before purchase))
