I saw jsant's post about getting $117 at the Hyatt. (jsant, thanks!) I figured I'd start lower than that, bearing in mind that I had a far chance of getting something if I went up to that level. I looked in 5 areas for 4 star hotels. I don't recall which ones specifically, but they were all in and around the Cambridge / Charles River area.

My initial bid was $100 which was rejected but they told me I could go to $118 without changing areas or hotel class. Instead of doing that, I took a chance and expanded to Fenway Park and bid $110. The bid was accepted.
