Hotwire Hotel: Help to ID 5* Hawaii (Waikiki Beach area)

Hi,

I'm new to these forums and also to priceline/hotwire in general. Currently in the process of booking my first large overseas trip and was wondering if anyone had recently booked a 5* hotel through hotwire in Waikiki.

I have looked at the list and the two options are Halekulani and Royal Hawaiian, either of which we would be happy to stay at, as we've only ruled them out based on price up to this point. Has anyone booked a 5* and its been another hotel?

We're staying in Waikiki from the 30th of June, 2012 until the 6th of July, a 5* hotel comes up for $2155.

Also wondering about peoples experiences with organising specifics beds with the hotel after booking, had much success or has it mainly been you get what you're given?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
