Hi- I'm trying to get a 3.5* at Fisherman's Wharf for 4/26-4/28. So far-

3.5*, Fisherman's Wharf, $85- rejected

3.5*, Fisherman's Wharf + Marina, $95- rejected

Then I stopped and thought I should post on this board. It looks like people have been able to get something for under $100 a night, which is ideally what I'd like to stay under. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Rates can vary significantly from day-to-day and season-to-season. Once the Spring starts, rates do start to ramp up a bit.

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay, and is FW the only zone of interest?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I'd also be open to FD/Embarcadero. Possibly even Union Square. So basically, all of the touristy areas. I would like to stay right around $100/night.

Please confirm if we should include USE and/or USW in a bidding strategy or not.

Also, are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? You may be able to get a 4* for less than $100 in one of the alternate zones above, would you want to try for a 4* first up to your limit OR is would you prefer an even cheaper 3.5*?

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

I talked to my husband and we've decided we're open to more areas. The goal is to stay under $100/night. Areas that would be okay are any of those actually in SF- areas 1-6, 9, 12, 13. We'd like anything 3.5* and above. Thanks for your help!

To confirm, does this mean that if both a 3.5* and a 4* are available for less than $100/nite, you'd prefer the less expensive 3.5* vs. the more expensive but higher rated 4*?

Since the zone numbers will change in the future as PRICELINE renames or adds/removes zones, please list the zones you're willing to accept by PRICELINE name (and not by zone number)

Thanks.
