Hotwire Hotel: Need help with NYC Hotel w/parking

So a friend of mine is coming to the east coast unexpectedly and I'm not trying to scramble to find a decent price on a one night NYC stay on 4/5. Problem is, I'm driving in, so parking is a big must have. Most of what I see on Hotwire or Priceline doesn't seem to mention parking as an amenity. I realize that free parking is pretty much unheard of in the city(with the exception of the Travel Inn apparently, which is booked solid, I already called them).

I've only stayed in the city once before, right off of Times Square at the Millenium(hardest bed I have ever slept in in my entire life), so that's the area I'm familiar driving in. I'm willing to be flexible where in Midtown to stay though, besides the east side. But I'm looking for a 4 or higher, am on a budget, ideally can't go over $200 total for the night, and I need the hotel to have parking of some sort. Any idea how I can find out for sure that I won't have trouble storing my car for the night?

I did some looking on Hotwire, so I wasn't sure which forum this should ideally go in, my apologies if I've made a mistake. I did see a 4star Midtown Central for $158 with the amenities of Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, which is probably doable, but it's a much broader zone than Priceline it seems.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I realize that I'm cutting this super close, so I don't even know if Priceline would be an option at this point.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Almost all NYC have a 'relationship' with a nearby garage that they use for guest parking, however, the issue is that purchasing parking thru the hotel is usually substantially more expensive then parking the car on your own at a nearby garage. Personally i wouldn't be too concerned about not having a place to keep your car, and would sooner suggest planning on finding parking on your own separate from the hotel, as it will likely be cheaper, especially if you're willing to parking 'a ways' from the hotel you actually receive, as you can then park fairly far west or fairly far east which will be cheaper than the 'heart' of midtown.

The MTC property above matches previous reports for the Sheraton New York so that would be my best guess for this one.

If you decide you would rather go with PRICELINE, let us know which zone(s) you find acceptable and your maximum bid price (before fees, taxes, or taking parking into consideration) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
