So, I read a little and checked the rates and tried the following (I used the PRICELINE link):

For 4* SOMA using zone rebid... No Dice!

Currently, the IC and MM appear to be sold out, and the others' posted rates are 473, 379, 399, 417

Question: If I tried again tomorrow, how far would I have to go? Thanks much!

There is no telling how high you will need to bid to be successful for these dates. Based upon the rates (or the sold-out condition) you've posted it's indicative of very high demand for these dates, and therefore hotels may not be willing to discount very deeply (or offer inventory to the opaque suppliers at all).

Given the rates you're seeing for these dates, how high are you willing to bid for a 4* hotel before considering a nearby zone, lowering your star rating, or booking direct?
