Priceline Hotel: Bidding Assistance: 5* North or South Strip

I think I have a slight preference for North strip, maybe to the tune of $5-10/nt. I actually prefer Aria, but would be slightly disappointed to end up with Cosmopolitan or Vdara, hence the north strip preference.

Here are the rack rates for the nights listed:

Wynn - $179/nt ($802 w/ tax)

Encore - $199/nt ($892 w/ tax)

Venetian - $189/nt ($846 w/ tax)

Palazzo - $179/nt ($802 w/ tax)

Aria - $159/nt ($724 w/ tax)

Vdara - $129/nt Sun-Tue, $119/nt Wed ($578 w/ tax)

Cosmopolitan $158/nt ($707 w/ tax)

I have the following special offers available to me:

Venetian 60 Day Advance Purchase - $143/nt Sun-Tue nt, $183 Wed nt ($694 w/ tax)

Palazzo 60 Day Advance Purchase - $143/nt ($640 w/ tax)

Venetian/Palazzo Poker Room Rate - $129/nt + tax (w/ 6 hrs of play/day)

Wynn Poker Room Rate - $119/nt + tax (w/ 6 hrs of play/day)

Aria Poker Room Rate - $99/nt + tax (w/ 5 hrs of play/day)

While I have the poker room rates available to me, I don't really think I want to use them if the price is close (and the Venetian/Palazzo 60 day Advance Purchase is already pretty close) since having to play 5-6 hours/day is more than I'd like. Therefore, we are going to try to bid for something similar.

Here's what Hotwire is showing:

5* Strip North - $78 (likely Trump since no casino. Don't want to stay at Trump)

5* Strip South - $105, $486 w/ tax (likely Aria, since there is a casino)

I also have the really tempting offer from TI direct from the hotel (fully-refundable w/ 48 hours notice of cancellation) for $50-54/nt ($227 w/ tax). Not a bad price of a pretty decent 4 star.

All of these hotels have $20-25 resort fees (including TI) so I am leaving that out of the equation for now.

I have identified the following free rebid zones for 5* on North/South Strip:

Boulder Strip

Fremont St

Henderson

Lake Las Vegas

Las Vegas Airport

Las Vegas Convention Center

NW Las Vegas

Near Las Vegas Strip East

Near Las Vegas Strip West

Nellis

Summerlin

Taking all of the above information into account, I am trying to figure out how much a 5* is worth to me over the $51/nt TI offer that I currently have booked. Maybe $30/nt if it isn't Vdara/Cosmopolitan? Hard to guarantee that without only bidding Strip North and that price expectation might be unrealistic to begin with. I booked the TI offer since it is refundable so I have some time to play with here as I'd be perfectly OK with TI if I can't get a 5* for a good price.

Any bidding recommendations or thoughts? It's been years since I've stayed in Vegas so I can't quite remember the quality difference between TI and the 5 stars and what that is likely worth. Thanks!

Done, but I think I'm sticking with TI at this point unless I can get a killer deal on a 5*. Probably would have to be in the $75-$80/nt range. Not sure if that is possible even in the slowest of times.

What appears to be the Trump is showing for $79 on HOTWIRE and could likely be had for less ($60-70) on PRICELINE (the Trump has been previously reported in the Strip North Condo zone.) I'm guessing a 5* in Strip South could likely be had for around $80-90.

South Strip not showing up on PRICELINE so I bid North Strip up to $75+5 bonus cash. Rejected. I'll keep my TI reservation until it gets closer. Not willing to go above that right now.
