thatsmyoption Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 I tried today to bid for a hotel in San Diego for a 4 star to 5 star at $65 it was not accepted. so I changed to another bid of $70 but it didn't allow the bid, it kept referring me to change a check mark, i.e., 3 1/2 star or location or date. why didn't it allow just the change of bid? Anyway it was not accepted, do I try again tomorrow? New to this, not sure. Thanks.
Romelle Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Priceline only lets you bid every 24 hours, unless you make one of the changes it was requesting. What dates and zones were you bidding? However, there are a number of "free re-bid" zones in the San Diego area. There is a discussion of this technique in the FAQs. Essentially, it means adding zones (while increasing your bid), where the new zones DO NOT have any offerings at the star level you are bidding (or a higher star level). If you are interested in this process, after you've had a look at the discussion, you can post back your understanding or ask questions. It is vital you completely understand the technique before using it.Romelle
