Hotwire Hotel: Panama City Beach hotels: Any way to determine if oceanfront?

I'm considering using Hotwire to book a room for our vacation but I'm bothered by the fact that other than the general area, you don't really know if the property is on the beach, near the beach, or 30 miles away.

Is there any way to tell if the beach is an amenity? I remember looking at a site many moons ago that had beach listed as an amenity for some properties but I can't recall what it was.

Are Hotwire's rates likely to get lower in a "last minute" kind of thing? I'm interested in the hotel at Panama City Beach that everyone says is the Days Inn but the Hotwire rate is actually 2 dollars higher than the early book rate on the website. Either way, it's too high for me. Our trip isn't till June 17 so I'm wondering if I wait and try for a last minute book if I'll get a better rate?

Anyone know?

The site you're referencing in your first post is likely HOTWIRE, and as you've indicated, you can determine if the hotel is Beachfront/Beach Access/Oceanfront based upon the amenities shown to be associated with the property.
