Looking for a car rental in Quebec City for May 19th for 3days. Does anyone know when Bonus Cash Rewards appear in our account? Is there a good day to bid on rental cars?

Any other suggestions? Which shouldi use - Hotwire or PL?

Bonus money is sent out randomy and often to random users, it's not always sent to the entire PRICELINE user base.

There is no 'best' time to bid or make your purchase, it all is dependent upon supply/demand and how much time is left for the rental company to rent the vehicle.

What car class are you trying for? What is your maximum bid?

That is great information. When you say that it is "often" sent to random users, how often would you say that would be? I have just short of two months left until my trip, and I don't mind waiting as long as I need to get the best rate.

I am looking for the cheapest car no matter what. We have two adults and are not picky about the look or size of the vehicle - as long as we both fit. So 'economy' to answer your question.

Well, since the current rate offered by PL is $13/day for economy, I am fine with that, but again, looking for the best deal. So you could say my maximum bid is $10/day? The car insurance is what is the most expensive....

I've seen bonus money sent 2-3 times in one month... i've also see it not sent at all for 3-4 months.

PRICELINE will usually be a little cheaper than HOTWIRE (but not always, so it does pay to check both services and pay attention to the total cost, as sometimes the fees will be different, making the one with the higher daily rate, but lower fees, the less expensive total purchase.

Car rental bonus money is usually only $2-$3 per day, so you're not talking that much on a 3 day rental, and if you're able to get something now with a single digit bid amount it may be worth just locking it up... but ultimately it's up to you and how much you'd like to have your plans finalized.

I would like to pickup at Quebec International but drop off at a rental location that is in the Quebec City downtown core (as I am not departing the city by plane - departing by train). Is there a way to bid on this type of rental? Or it is ONLY when you have the pick-up and drop-off at the same location?

If you rent roundtrip from the airport are there are any mass transit options from the airport to the train station? (shuttles, taxi, train, etc)
