Hotwire Hotel: Hotwire for Venice in 2 weeks

Hi There,

We have a short overnight in venice April 23, coming in on a cruise with at 10 am VCE departure on the 24th. Hoping to stay near the train station and thus at Papodopoli Venezia. Watching for "boutique hotel". Is it getting too close? Any recommendations?

Thank You! We leave the US on the 11th. Need the room in Venice on the 23rd. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates. As well, the property you mention above has never been reported to the board, so i'm not sure if it's a "known" participant on the opaque side of HOTWIRE's business and/or how you will identify this property from another in the zone.

Taxes $87.33

Total $699.33

This is the hotel I am hoping to win. I notice it is for similar dates. Do you think it is possible?

HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.

There is no way to 'make' HOTWIRE offer a specific hotel... the hotel with the lowest rate for your dates is the one that is offered for purchase. There is always a chance that the hotel you're hoping for is the one offer offered, but if the hotel you want is not the one that is currently appearing, the odds don't favor it.

In the end, I didn't want to take the chance and we made a traditional reservation at Ca Doge, which is located right a the foot of the people mover & piazzale roma. also very near the train station.
