Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Vancouver (Entertainment Distr) Metropolitan

I was just quoted $147 USD/night for this. 4.5* Vancouver Downtown Entertainment District.

Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center

Here's what we're looking for:

* We'll be in Vancouver Sunday night through Tuesday AM

* We fly in on Sunday late (10pm) at YVR

* We catch a ferry at Tsawwassan (sp?) on Tuesday

* We're looking for something nice, upscale, comfortable, urban, a good base for hanging out on Monday.

Is the Entertainment District the right place, or are we better off closer to the ferry? I don't think we want to be by the airport.

Can anyone help?

Sorry about that. We arrive on 7/31 Sunday night and we're staying 3 nights.

The above is a match for the Metropolitan Hotel so that would be our best guess as to this hotel's identity.

When i cruised out of Vancovuer the pier was near Stanley Park, which would make this the correct zone. I forget the name of the pier and there might be two of them, so you may want to look at a map to see the location of the cruise terminal you are embarking from.

If the above guess is correct, the reviews of the proerty look pretty good.
