KBryant888 Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Good evening, I will be staying in Seattle with my fiance and are trying to book a hotel in Seattle. I looked at the previous winnings and here are my three bids so far:1) 3* - Seattle Center - Space Needle - $492) 3* - Mukilteo - South Everett, Seattle Center - Space Needle - $493) 3* - Renton - Kent, Mukilteo - South Everett, Seattle Center - Space NeedleWe will be visiting many neighborhoods, scoping out the place for when we move there later this year.I am having issues with getting a winning hotel.Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.- Chris
thereuare Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Your bids are not typically enough for a 3* hotel in the Space Needle zone and i'm guessing you'll need to try up to another $10 or so to be successful in the zones you've included above. Are you willing to increase your maximum bid at all OR are there other zones you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. KBryant888 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 Thanks for helping a new guy out.I am definitively willing to increase my bids and would prefer the cheaper price down south.I am looking to get a 3* for less than $50 as close to Downtown as possible. I saw someone won that renton location for $36 or something like that. Thanks again for helping!
KBryant888 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 I misspoke about my bids in the initial post1) Seattle Center - Space Needle - $492) Mukilteo - South Everett, Seattle Center - Space Needle - $523) Renton - Kent, Mukilteo - South Everett, Seattle Center - Space Needle - $36
Romelle Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Have you considered the SEA airport hotels? Sometimes they are fairly inexpensive. I can't speak for parking as I've always used public transport when there, so you'd need to do some research on that. At the lower star levels breakfast is often included, which helps on the budget. KBryant888 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 I haven't no, maybe I'll try that. Any suggestions on what price to bid? Thanks so much!
thereuare Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Are Renton - Kent, Mukilteo - South Everett, and Seattle Center - Space Needle the only three acceptable zones? Have you considered the Airport zone, as while perhaps not as close geographically, there is easy access to downtown via the light rail. As well, have you looked into Bellevue at all (it may be out of your budget, but even if so, if it is acceptabke should you happen to win something in this zone, there is a good bus system from here to Downtown (although i don't know if every hotel is convenient to a nearby bus stop, although Bellevue isn't that big).Let us know your thoughts regarding acceptable zone(s) and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. KBryant888 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 I am open to other areas. What price would you recommend for airport and for bellevue?
