dsnow Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 New to the site, hoping for help. I tried using your tactics of adding zones but I did it straight from the priceline website, now that I'm a member I'll use your links. Ok here is what I would like. 5* on the north or south strip at $150 or less for the dates of June 8th and June 9th. As I said I have tried 3 times already over the past week going up in $5 increments and stopping when it reached my limit. Haven't booked yet. If this rate is literally not possible please let me know so I will try to come up with another plan. It is our anniversary and I really, really want a nice casino for my wife and I. Thank you.
AaronJB Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding and congrats on your anniversary! :)Unfortunately $150 for a 5* in the North Strip zone is - at this point - not going to be enough; based on rates, I'm guessing you're likely looking at a bid of around $175-215 +/- for a 5* win in this zone for these dates.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I might try the $175 one time or I might go down to 4*. I suppose if I get a great rate on a 4* I can concentrate more money on an anniversary dinner. What is the lowest price I can start my bidding on 4* and how high will I need to go? Also an opinion on the zone with the best 4* places?
AaronJB Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Opinions on best properties are going to vary from person-to-person, but the South Strip has a significantly greater number of 4* properties than the North Strip zone, and you can see the hotels that have been reported to the board at this link: Nevada Priceline List. For a 4* in either Strip North or Strip South, I would start at $115 and work higher by $5's.
