Hotwire Hotel: 3* Orange County (Anaheim - Disneyland South) Ayres Inn Orange

I need a stay of 8 nights from june 15th to 23rd, 2012 and I targeted the Ayres Hotel Orange as for the amenities (free breakfast, free parking, refrigerator)... I have a $36 Hotel Bonus Cash Reward on PL My Rewards valid untol jan 31, 2012... Please help me on the strategy to get the best rate at this property.

I know this is a 3* Orange County (Disneyland - Orange - Garden Grove).

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose.

With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.

Please note that you can still use your Bonus Cash along with the board's PRICELINE links as follows...

1) click the PRICELINE link on the board

2) go to the MY PROFILE >> MY REWARDS link at the top right of their home page

3) use the bonus money link in the MY REWARDS section of your profile (not a link from an email) and bid as usual

Thanks.. I've used PL three times by now, I know basic rules... As far as I can see, there is no recent reports of another 3* winnings on that specific area than Ayres Inn Orange. What i need is your guidance to have the best chance to get the lower rate... Thanks again.

Remember also that the star rating you select is the minimum that you're willing to select, so there is always a chance that your 3* bid could be upgraded to a higher rated property.

My target is around $500-$550, taxes included.

I also have a $25 bonus valid until feb 29th, 2012... please consider this if you came up with a plan wich require more time... thanks again.

As i don't know the tax rate for this area i don't know how $550 breaks down to a maximum bid amount, please post your maximum in terms of bid price and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Unfortunately there are no re-bid zones available when bidding 3* in this region. However, with time on your side, if you start bidding today you can get 7 bid attempts before your first round of bonus money expires. Assuming you're willing to accept any 3* (or higher rated) hotel in this zone, I would try as follows:

Select 3* Anaheim - Orange - Garden Grove...

Bid $45

If the above is rejected, try the following bids every 24 hours:

$48, $50, $53, $55, $58, $60

? For Administrator. A topic that came up within this thread had me curious... I received an email directly from Priceline today for $5.00/night on a winning bid placed today. Do I have to use their email link to redeem? I would much PREFER to use the LINK on this site. I'd love to get the $5.00 off per night but if clicking link above helps out enough on your end I'd be willing to forgo that because this site has SAVED me $ and made me more Confident in my bidding.

The hotel is listed in 1st place in the forum hotwire list for 3 stars in this zone and was just the hotel I wanted. I tried before with PRICELINE and at 60 + a 9 dollar bonus still nothing, so I preferred to try Hotwire.

I used the HOTWIRE forum link.
