chujustin Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 I've been bidding 2 days now. I want to find a 4* South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront hotel for April 12 to 15. I used all my 5 rebids both days. Really hoped I won the Surfcomber (where my friends are staying). That hotel is listed at $328 for that weekend on Priceline. These are the prices I tried:Day 1195 (won at this price for the following week by a fellow forum member)200205210215220All failed.Day 2221225231241251261All failed again.Any advice guys? Thanks
thereuare Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 How high are you willing to bid before lowering your star rating to a 3.5* property?HOTWIRE has what i believe to be the Surfcomber for $305/nite, if that's worth it to you to have a high probability of being at the same hotel as your friends. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. chujustin Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 i was not able to win any hotels that weekend. I ended up booking through PRICELINE's non-bidding side. paid 290 a night for the surfcomber, was pride weekend, had no choice.
