I Bid $14 for a Midsize and was offered a chance to increase my price without changing any other criteria.

Suggested a Good Chance $17

I bid $15 Rejected

I then bid $16 for all higher class vehicles (higher than Midsize) except the min-van and convertable and was rejected.

Bid $20 for an SUV, Premium and Luxury. All were denied.

Bid $18 for a Full-size vehicle. Accepted

Hertz offered me an upgrade to any vehicle (Exluding Specialty class so no Jag for me :) ) for $10 a day. I usually decline but decided to take it and chose a Cadillac Deville.

Price came to an additional $33.

I could have bid for this class and won it cheaper I'm sure, but as a one time situation I was happy to try out the luxury car.
