eyeballz Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 My wife and I are ditching in the kids for a couple days for spring break and heading up to NYC for April 4-6. Would like to stay in East Village, Tribeca, or meatpacking.Would like best hotel option for around $250/night with few requirements other than memorable hotel, queen bed, wifi, accessibility.Thoughts?
AaronJB Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)In terms of PRICELINE, one has to be willing to accept any hotel at the selected star rating within the zone (if you bid 4* Midtown East, you have to be willing to accept any 4* in MTE.) HOTWIRE would be a better choice in this case as one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing.Neither service guarantees exact bedding type, and with NYC's smaller-than-average rooms (even at higher star ratings) you may get a smaller bed.In terms of a "memorable" hotel, that definitely is going to vary from person-to-person, and what may be someone's cup-of-tea may not be someone else's - this is especially true with some of the NYC boutique properties. What kind of hotel would you be interested in? Historic, trendy, ?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

eyeballz Posted March 21, 2012 Author Report Posted March 21, 2012 Aaron. thanks for your response... memorable, would be trendy, well decorated, could be a good view... something that we positively remember and can say we took a chance on Hotwire and ended up staying at XX hotel for a reasonable price....
thereuare Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 ...few requirements other than memorable hotel, queen bed, wifi, accessibility. Are the wants or must have as none of them are guaranteed thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE. While i'd be surprised if you landed a hotel that didn't have wifi, it's not guaranteed... the bedding is certainly not guaranteed, especially in NYC.Would like to stay in East Village, Tribeca, or meatpacking. If you'd like to move forward, let us know which zone(s), by PRICELINE name, you're willing to accept and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
