Priceline Hotel: 4* Miami (Downtown) Intercontinental Miami

Was having a lot of trouble getting 4 rooms (for 12 people) in South Beach on april 14th. Was willing to also take the "Miami Beach" and downtown areas and wanted to stay at 3-star or above since there seem to be a lot of sketchy independent properties below that that I wouldn't really consider to be 2-star.

Not sure on the exact bidding history. I was bidding a lot of lower values and made it up to maybe 120 without finding anything at 3 or above. Luckily it seemed to let me keep on bidding with random combinations of the south beach hotels (and then since I had already bid on all of those combos, and knew that they wouldn't pop, I had a lot of potential rebids when I added maimi-downtown).

Then after looking around on hotwired and traditional hotel sites and seeing that a lot of places were sold out or wouldn't have had 4 rooms that night, I just punched in 150 hoping for *something* since the next step would be the $173 on hotwired. Luckily it worked and the intercontinental should be much nicer than I was hoping for.
