Poshbrood
Hello all,I am a fairly seasoned traveler and also a travel writer. We were supposed to receive a media rate (there are 5 of us!) on a carrier to Paris and it just fell through. Some PR person screwed up our dates which are not flexible. I'm thinking of bidding on airfare through Priceline (through Better Bidding of course) but am a bit concerned about massive layovers, poor connections, etc. with three children. If it were me and husb alone, it would be fine. I'm just wondering will we get some inventory on regular scheduled flights that airlines are trying to fill or are we going to need to leave at 6 am and have a 24 hour long trip to Paris with 3 small children?Basically, will my itinerary be total crap or worth the savings? I think I'll start at $100 each ticket and see what counter offers are??Thoughts please? Thanks so much!Elizabeth Thorp Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! With capacity down over the last few years there are fewer empty seats on airplanes and deals on airfare are a bit harder to come by than the deep discounts we typically see on hotel rooms. However, you can have almost an unlimited number of re-bids on airfare by using the strategy outlined in the first and second posts here: Priceline Airfare RE-BiddingAs well, you can see maximum connection times for international travel here: Priceline Airfare Bidding Average and Longest Connection Times International TravelThank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Let us know if you have any questions regarding either of the above OR how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
