Hi everyone!

I read a lot about this forum and it is the first time I am using it!

Here is the information Hotwire gives, which hotel could it be?

3* Las Vegas Strip - South area, $32.00 per room, per night (05/9 - 05/11)

Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services. And there is a fee of about US$ 15 per room per night for the resort fee.

And just to be sure, I found also this one and I think it is the Tropicana, if someone can confirm it I will be so happy.

4* Las Vegas Strip - South area, $53.00 per room, per night (05/9 - 05/11)

Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf Nearby. And there is a fee of about US$ 20 per room per night for the resort fee.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

I believe you are right about the 4* being Tropicana - that would be my guess as it has been won a lot recently with Hotwire. My guess for the 3* would be Excalibur if it has a resort fee - seems to match the closest. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys for your rapid answer.

If it is the Excalibur, it is not a very big deal! It does not worth it to take this risk. ^^

But aout the Tropicana, it could be interesting but it is the same price on Expedia.com for the Harra's which is a 3 1/2 for the same price because there is no resort fees...

I do not know which one to choose between the tropicana and the harra's :/

Thanks again :)

I've stayed at Harrahs a few times over the last few years and it's "OK"... it serves it's purpose with a very central strip location.

However, i have booked the upgraded room (an extra $10-$15/nite iirc) which is supposedly much nicer than their standard rooms. However, two downside aspects of Harrahs is that 1) being an older property their air filtering system is not up to par with most modern properties and your close reek of smoke even just by walking thru the casino to get to your room and 2) the pool area is very lame with a metallic in-ground pool that vibrates each time somebody jumps in the water nearby (but not sure if it will be pool weather at the beginning of May)

Reviews for the Tropicana have been pretty good since their recent makeover, although they are still having a hard time shaking their previous reputation as a dated property since the hotel does not have any 'theme' to it like many of the newer destination Vegas properties.

Thanks a lot for your review. I will decide tomorrow. But just a question then, if you have to choose between both, if it is the same price, which one will you choose? (it will be the standard room for sure).
