Priceline Hotel: 4* North Miami Beach

Hello all,

Long time user, 1st time poster.

I am trying to secure the trump international beach resort for two nights (Nov. 15 & 16)for 3 rooms. I look at the list of hotels and the only one 4* in that area is the trump. Then I go to the name your own price link on this website and I see the median price for that area is the same price the trump is on the priceline list.

I realize nothing is 100%, but how likely is this the trump?

Maybe I'm not asking the right question here.

When I go onto priceline and view the hotels available in the north miami beach area @ 4*, the only hotel available is the Trump International Beach Resort @ $240 / night.

My question is if I go on name your own price in the same area at the same star rating, will I get the Trump? Or is it possible to get something else? Is it just coincidence that the median price when I do the name your own price is the same as the listed nightly rate?

Sorry if your original post may have been overlooked the first time around.

The 'retail' version of PRICELINE and the 'name your own price' each use a different universe of hotels, so it's possible that you receive something different. Just as an example, PRICELINE could be using the retail price of the trump as an example of the rate of a 4* in the zone, but the Trump could not participate with the opaque side of their service and you could win a different 4* property. (hope that makes sense)

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea what the 4*'s in that area may be? I don't see any listings for 4* in the list.

Unfortunately, no 4*'s in the zone have been reported to the board, so it's not yet confirmed which hotels participate on the bidding side of the service at this star rating. The Trump would definitely appear to be a possibility at the 4* level, but there may be others.
