Silly3mom Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I am heading to vegas for my sister wedding dates are April 25-28th, want to do a 4 star in south strip. The rest of our party is staying at Mandalay bay, any tips on what to bid to try to get that hotel price wise?
AaronJB Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There is no way to bid on a particular property, only a combination of star rating and zone (for example, 4* South Strip). If one bids 4* South Strip (for example), they have to be willing to accept any possible 4* within that zone. With HOTWIRE, one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but there is only one property at each star rating for each set of dates, and it may not be the hotel you are looking for.Are you only looking for Mandalay, or would other properties in the South Strip area be acceptable? What would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Silly3mom Posted March 9, 2012 Author Report Posted March 9, 2012 I guess I put this under the wrong one it should be for Priceline, any suggestions what to bid for a 4 star? I am ok, with what ever we get just was seeing if anyone knew if Mandalay does priceline through bids? It does look like others have won the hotel at mandalay. I know it is a gamble, but hey I am going to vegas right....
Silly3mom Posted March 9, 2012 Author Report Posted March 9, 2012 My beef is this Monte Carlo site price total is only $6.00 more, then what I won on price line... Not even a 1 percent saving on booking through price line site, lesson learned go hotdogs I guess....
AaronJB Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 Sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the result. Hopefully the property will still work out for your travel plans.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
