Hi! I'm new to this site but wish I had known about it in the past when I've used priceline/hotwire!

A good friend and I are meeting in NYC for a fun girls weekend. We're old enough to want to stay somewhere pretty nice i.e. 4+stars but young enough to want to be in a cool place/area close to dinner/drinks/bars all of course while still getting the best deal possible.

We have friends on the upper east side so we'd like to avoid the west side and we're open to staying in the midtown east, central park south area (and times square as well but seems like better hotels at better prices are available elsewhere).

We're looking to stay 4/27/12-4/29/12. Do you think all that is possible for 200 or less/night? We do have some pricing flexibility.........

Any suggestions?

Thank you so much!

Welcome to BetterBidding... we're glad you found us! :)

I think you have a shot at $200 or under, but if that's not successful, it shouldn't take much more than that (maybe another $10 or so)

Before suggesting a strategy to follow, does ESB work for your plans too? Just like MTE, it would be a fairly straight ride up to the UES on the 4-5-6 train (or just a few extra dollars if traveling by taxi) and this may improve your chances on a lower price.

Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there.
