A group of us are going to New Orleans the dates listed above, I need 5 rooms. I've attempted to bid and re-bid (if I understood it correctly) and was denied. We would love to stay in the French Quarter but I don't think that is realistic so we're fine with Downtown. I looked on Hotwire yesterday about 2:00 and they had 4* downtown for $118 so I was planning on jumping on it but I called my group to let them know I was pulling the trigger but by the time I went back the price was up to $136 it's currently $134. I'm not opposed to that price but like to get it a little cheaper so last night I did the following bids.4*FQ-$754*FQ-added zone $804*FQ-added zone $854*FQ-added zone $904*FQ-added zone $934*FQ-added zone $954*FQ-added Downtown $984*FQ-added Convention Center $99all rejectedI didn't want 3.5 or 3 star so it wouldn't let me rebid anymore. $115-120 is my sweet spot. malcolmkms Posted March 8, 2012 Author Report Posted March 8, 2012 After talking it over with the rest of my group we decided to purchase from Hotwire at a rate of $134 a room with 5 rooms. The hotel is The Intercontinental New Orleans looks great online and they seem to get steady reviews. It's listed at a starting rate of $236 on Expedia and other sites. We're excited, any insight you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated. ThanksI will try bidding again on my next trip when it's not such a large group.

Can't wait!!!!

Glad to see you found something that works well for your plans... looks like a good location, not too far from the French Quarter but also don't have to deal with the drunken-ness screaming and yelling from the streets in the middle of the nite.
