jm_in_West_Bend Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Started bidding at $65.00 and rebid in different zones up to $85 over the course of a few days. Last night after going through these steps once again Priceline suggested a big of $105 to lock the bid in. Resubmitted at $100 and won the Renaissance Orlando At Seaworld. Was hoping for the Peabody or Westin Imagine but the reviews look promising for this hotel. Very good value off of published rates through other sites. Thanks!Weird how priceline works. I started at $65 for 4* in the area (Apr 11-16), and was declined. I kept adding areas until my $96 bid was accepted by Westin Imagine. I was hoping for the Renaissance or Peabody, but the Westin has mostly favorable reviews, and at about $85 less than other online "best" rates!
AaronJB Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Congratulations on your success! :)Definitely a great result for this Westin property. Rates and inventory vary (sometimes substantially) from day-to-day.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.

I have not stayed at the Renaissance or Imagine but reviews seem favorable for both. I will follow up on my stay after I return. Please let me know what you think of the Westin as well.

Seems like a free upgrade to a suite is a good possibility, too. With 8" on snow on the ground and an overnight low of 3, we're ready for some Florida weather! B) I stayed at the Renaissance for a conference, and it was very nice. Try to get a room up high on the Sea World side - nice view of the park. When I was there, Sea World shot off nightly fireworks. Not sure if they do that any more ...
