Thank you for sharing your bids, although sorry to hear that they weren't accepted.

What would be your desired max budget for these dates? Rates are definitely quite high for these dates and unfortunately, I definitely think that a win at the 3.5/4* level will possibly require a considerably higher bid.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Well, I also tried bidding on Priceline, but on the dates 4/8-4/12 (Sunday-Thursday) in the Boston Common, Quincy, Beacon Hill and even Aquarium area. But I was looking for 4 stars only. My bid got up to $183 and there still wasn't a match. I might have to book in a different area :( Such a shame because I wanted to stay downtown where everything is close together and public transportation is easily accessible, even at night.

I just looked at your dates in Hotwire. Ouch. A remote possibility - Logan 2* at $89?

Or maybe on Priceline one of those other areas listed under the map? A couple of them have "metro" in their name, so public transport should be workable. Braintree is right on the south edge of Boston, and some of the other ones aren't far out either.

Hope you find something.

UPDATE: The prices in Boston are ridiculous during this weekend in particular because it is the 100th anniversary for Fenway Park and the Sox are playing the Yankees all weekend. Now I know why rates are quoted at $300/night minimum.
