Hotwire Hotel: United Center, Chicago 3/30-4/1

I am suprising my boyfriend with tickets to the bulls game at the United Center. Which area would be closer to the United Center as well as shopping? I have been looking at the loop and magnificent mile area but can't decide which one is better? (Also the better deal for money). Which area would you suggest? (Hoping for a 4* under 100).

There are really no hotels near the United Center, and it's not really an area you would want to want to stay in. I'd recommend taking public transit there and back.

The Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park area would be the closest (but would still be a bit of a trip via public transit or cab), but you could also still stay in the Mag Mile-Streeterville area on HOTWIRE and get there pretty easily. In terms of choosing area, I'd concentrate more on what you are doing the remainder of the stay - if you are going to be shopping and out (nightlife, restaurants) at night, I'd stay North of the river.

I am wanting to stay near MMA and I have been watching daily for prices to drop. I am hoping they will closer to the date we are wanting to stay. (March 30, April 1)

I was hoping to get a 4* for 90-95. I wouldn't mind a 3* in MMA for 80.

I am seeing two different listings for 3 1/2* hotels. One in the loop/ grant park area and one in MMA... Any idea which hotels these are? They only have an 80% recommendation. Do you think I should try priceline?

I found a 3 1/2 * in Chicago loop grant park area for 108 a night with internet and fitness room and an Icon that looks like a printer ( I am using my phone so it only uses icons for the amenities). Is this a good deal and which hotel could it be?

The Chicago Loop Hotel has previously been seen with this amenity set (assuming the printer icon = 'Business Center') so that would be my best guess for this one.
