Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Virginia Beach (Downtown Norfolk) Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

We used our priceline skills learned on betterbidding.com to get the 3.5 star Sheraton Waterside in downtown Norfolk for four nights 3/30-4/2 for a bid of $45. All-in cost was $217.56, or $54 a night. Cheapest rack rate st starwoodhotels.com was $131/night all-in, so a good deal.

We wanted to stay in downtown Norfolk or downtown Portsmouth, so here was our strategy:

1. 36, 3.5*, downtown Norfolk

2. 38, add 3*

3. 40, add Norfolk Naval Base/Tidewater, free rebid since no 3/3.5 properties

4. 41, add downtown Portsmouth

5. 43, add Central Suffolk free rebid since no 3/3.5 properties

6. 45, add Chesapeake Bowers Hill free rebid since no 3/3.5 properties

7. Success!
