Just booked this for my wife and mother-in-law this weekend. I hope they like it. I seem to have found some mixed reviews of the place. Please let me know if you guys have stayed there. Thanks.

Stayed here a month ago....and had the same concerns. Was originally a Hyatt and Doubletree has recently bought it....and they expect to put a bunch of money upgrading it, something like $15 million. It still was a good place. It's located in a nice area, right next to the Oak Brook Mall. So plenty of dining options really close by....if you go and look for them. Much better than the really overpriced options that the hotel restaurants usually offer. Rooms are a little in need of updating....stained carpets....a little worn bedspreads....but upgrades may already be underway for your stay. Otherwise the room was clean....and as always...Doubletree's cookies are great....even stopped by the front desk...our second night and they supplied us for our cookie "fix."
