If someone could help me I would very much appreciate it. Im having a issue with hotel prices for 3/30-4/1. I stayed at the Cosmo and LOVEd it and not I want to stay somewhere just as nice or better!

When bidding on hotels im not sure the break down for the hotel type im looking for.

If someone could tell the hotel break down so I get the type of hotel im looking for when bidding on hotwire or priceline. Also ANY helpful tips would be GREAT!!! Thanks so much!!

Please read this thread if you have never used either service: I've Never used Priceline or Hotwire

There is no way to ensure a specific hotel when using PRICELINE; if you select 5* Strip South (for example), you have to be willing to accept any 5* in that zone. One can make an educated guess on HOTWIRE as to which hotels are showing, but only one hotel shows for each set for date/s in each zone at each star rating, and the hotel showing may not be one of interest.

Are you interested in both Strip South and Strip North at the 5* level?

Here are the amenities- 5-star Hotel in Las Vegas Strip - North

This Hotel features the following amenities:

Spa Services, Resort, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center , Pool(s), Restaurant(s) , High-Speed Internet Access and Kitchenette

The price was $269 and the bidding price was $145/night

with Resort fees of $20 per night.

When searching I checked Las Vegas Strip north and South with 5* but this is the only hotel that came up.

I am new to the thread-Yes. I have used priceline on a flight before.

Im willing to do North and South. Just 5* hotels. I looked over a list of 5* hotels for priceline and hotwire and im still a bit confused.

Once again Im new so I apologize if I forget the rules- I'm still learning. Im leaning toward the Cosmo, Aria or Vadara as far as 5* hotels on the LV South Strip. Please tell me if Im thinking correct as far as the hotels and area. Thanks! ( I plan on booking tomorrow so any help is appreciated and I will use the links on the page)

You need to think in terms of star rating and zone(s) that you want... not in terms of specific hotels. While the hotels you mention are 5* rated and in the Strip South zone, you could receive any 5* hotel in the zone(s) that you select.

Thanks for all your help. I tried bidding and rebidding up to $169 and to no avail the offers weren't accepted. I added zone's and still nothing, not even a counter offer. Thanks. I may try hotwire.

USed the HOTWIRE link on the page and gave it a go. Got the trump for 3/29-4/1 for $136 and Im not a happy camper. Was really hoping for something else. Only issue is I now found it cheaper on another site so Im SUPER upset now. Hopefully I have a good weekend.

This was the hotel guessed so i'm not sure what else you may have been expecting.

If the rate you found elsewhere is a rate generally available to the public (no AAA membership required, senior rate, etc) and the room rate is less than the $136/nite room rate for your own purchase, HOTWIRE does have a 'Best Rate Guarantee' that you can apply for, but it needs to be claimed within 48 hours of your original booking so not something you should sit on.
