ddlproj Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 I am looking for 2 rooms for September 8-11. I am hoping to stay downtown or maybe near dupont circle? I would prefer a 4 star hotel. I was wondering what would be a good starting bid? Thanks for all of your help. My son suggested this website and it is great.
thereuare Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Let us know your maximum bid and we will suggest a strategy for you follow. Also, is staying in the Downtown zone most important or is price? (ie- would you prefer to stay in the Downtown zone at a higher price than could be had in the Dupont zone OR prefer the Dupont zone if it would be less expensive) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ddlproj Posted July 6, 2005 Author Report Posted July 6, 2005 Price would be most important. And I think about $105 would be about the maximum bid. I hope I am not being unrealistic but we are more than willing to stay near Dupont Circle. Thanks again and great website.
thereuare Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 I would proceed as follows...When bidding 4* in this area you have five re-bid zones avialable, if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Dupont...Bid $75, if rejected add Downtown...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
