the prince Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I need to know if there r any winning bids for 2.5 star hotel in the north or west FT.Lauderdale area. My plans are set for a 2 weeks stay in late may early June 2012. Do I wait or start bidding now and what price I start wid and do I split m 2 weeks. Help me someone?
Romelle Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 You need to first pull up the Fort Lauderdale map on Priceline and identify the specific bidding zones you consider "north or west". To see reported wins here, you can use the search functions up above. I tried just "lauderdale" in the white Search box, and made sure "Forums" was selected by it. You can definitely start bidding now, but on the low end of your budget. You can always work up later.Regarding splitting up the 2 weeks, it can help one be successful. You can first bid the full two week span then, if you are not successful, try just one week at a time. To be successful with a longer time span, some hotel has to have availability in Priceline for that full range of days. When you break it up, then you also have a chance at hotels with shorter available time spans. What are your specific dates? Budget expectations?Romelle

Romelle Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks alot Romelle. my budget is 55.00 max for 2.5 star hotel in either north or west Fort Lauderdale.Coral Springs Downtown Ft Lauderdale Ft Lauderdale - Airport North Ft Lauderdale Airport (FLL) Ft Lauderdale Beach Area Ft Lauderdale North Hollywood Miramar Pompano Beach West Ft Lauderdale - Plantation West Ft Lauderdale - Sawgrass Mills Area Above are the eleven "zones" upon which one can bid in Fort Lauderdale. You can link to the Priceline web site and see their detailed maps by just typing "Fort Lauderdale" in the Priceline box (upper right hand corner). If you need more detail, you can zoom in on these maps clear to street name detail. Then post back (by name) just which of the eleven you want to bid. Also, your planned dates. The dates are important, since rates vary a lot by date and knowing your specifics will help work out a good strategy for your bidding.Hotwire has a 2 1/2* Deerfield Beach for last week May and 1st week June for $46. That is good news for your budget. You could look at Hotwire with the link in the upper left hand corner, using your planned dates.Romelle
