Priceline Hotel: NEW YORK 2.5*---3.5*

want to use princeline for the bid.

Most of the Manhattan zones are acceptable, everything except UWS, UES, Queensborough, L.I., Brooklyn.

march 18--march 22

march 18 maybe the weekend ,

so is it better to split from the other 4 days.

2 1/2*----3 1/2 with up to $100 is my desire.

Any advice?

I'd like to do following list order:

1. Central Park South

2.chelsea Area

3.Empire Building

4.lower east side

5.Midtown East

6. Midtown West

7. Madison Square Garden

8. Times Square

9.SOHO

for the money, I mean without the tax, my goal is to find the least expensive 2.5* . does the 3* could have the lower pirce than the 2.5*? if possible, I follow the cheapest price.

Are you willing to pay more for a zone higher up in your list of zone preference OR is the goal the least expensive 2.5* or better for this trip?

I'm assuming the latter but please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Also, do note that when bidding less than 4* the following apply:

MTE - some hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway, is this acceptable?

CPS - has the Hudson Hotel, which while well located, has notorious small rooms (even by NYC stanards, ~140 sq. ft.)

Should either of these not be acceptable please let us know and we won't include in a bidding strategy.

you are right, I mean the latter one. the goal for the least expensive 2.5* or better for this trip.

I need the location near the subway, and for the Hudson Hotel we can not accetp that.

Links to HOTWIRE offers contain session IDs so they won't work and/or expire after 30 minutes and become 'broken'... please post the details of the offer rather than a link to the offer (since the link won't work).

While the 2* property you guessed may be acceptable to you, there are likely other 2* properties (in this zone and others that you are bidding) which may not be acceptable... are you willing to bid the 2* level and risk a 'letter' 2* property? If so, is the goal now the least expensive 2* or better in any of your acceptable zones?

yes I mean in the zones I listed . I could accept the 2* hotel. because the budget for me is limit. so I will follow the price not the star of the hotel.

When bidding 2.5* and higher in NYC you have at least one re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.
