Priceline Hotel: 4 Star in San Francisco

Hi,

I've been reading a lot here and have been successfully used Priceline for many bids.

Right now I'm working on San Franscisco, USE or USW, 05/31/12 - 06/03/12, 4 Stars.

I've been bidding up to $119 and still no success - since I have already a decent (cancellable) room at the Nikko reserved (USD 550 total) I'm wondering if the prices might go down? Although I know that this question is more or less useless, I'd be interested in your recommendation and experience so far.

There is no way to know if prices will come down, or move even higher, between now and your stay; but for more on this subject see the 'Bid Early or Close to Check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

At current prices i'm guessing that you'll likely need ~$125-$145 for a 4*hotel for these dates. While this may prove to be less than your current back-up at the Hotel Nikko, it comes down to how much you like/dislike the Hotel Nikko and whether the savings of winning and 'unknown' hotel in this bid range is woth the risk of the 'known' Hotel Nikko.
