CTRLTE
I used "Name your own price" and got Hilton Minneapolis for $63/night for 3/15 ~ 3/18, and I paid $223.17 total, tax included.I called an hotel to figure out about the parking, they said it's $13/night, so I will have to pay $39 for parking only. Now, I see this big sale going on, and the Priceline is offering the same hotel, during the same period with $64/night, with total of $219.21, tax included. Also, on the main page where all the hotels are listed, the Hilton is having free parking as a freebie. So I am seriously wondering if I am eligible for getting a full refund or something like that.I know that per night, the regular price is $1 more expensive, but in total, I paid more with the name your own price. So anyone know, if Priceline will do something in this situation? thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Unfortunately you're not eligible for PRICELINE's Best Rate Guarantee as it's based upon room rate only, and as you point out, your room rate is less (although only by $1) than the prevailing rate for this property. HOWEVER, note that it's not "as bad as you think" as the Free Parking only applies to certain room rates, and the $64 rate is not one of them... the rate that includes free parking starts at $139/nite.Thank you for sharing your win/experience with the board, feel free to ask the board for your help before your next opaque purchase. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
