Priceline Hotel: 4* Newark - Meadowlands (Jersey City) W Hotel Hoboken

Hey all,

I'm new to BetterBidding but have already learned a lot today. So thanks.

My wife and I are planning a trip to NYC, but are thinking to stay in the Jersey City area both for the views and to save a little cash.

We would be looking for a 4 star accomodation and would prefer to use the PATH system to get back and forth for a little more of the NYC feel.

We also both enjoy food and drinks and are young.

So...

What hotels do you recommend?

I've seen that Priceline seems to be suggested for this area over Hotwire.

How do you suggest we proceed?

There is no way to pick a particular property when bidding on PRICELINE - when bidding for a 4* in the Jersey City zone, for example, one has to be willing to accept any of the 4*'s in the zone. If you have never used PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, this thread would be recommended reading: I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire.

What would be your date/s of travel and desired budget per night?

I placed a bid last night for $107 per night for a 4-star in the Priceline Jersey City area for April 6 to April 9 and my bid was accepted by the W Hoboken.

We're very pleased with result.
