boomzdaddy Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Any tips on when to look? I am looking to spend no more than $190 before taxes/fees but obviously am hoping to spend less. Preferably staying away from Financial District and whatnot as we will be out late most nights and a cab will be needed. Of course being over Easter weekend, everything is notably higher in NYC!
thereuare Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! What star rating is it that you're seeking? If less than 4* are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR would your goal be the least expensive hotel at the minimum star rating?Rates are seasonally high this time of year, but may actually be a little less than usual due to the Easter vacation (not higher). However, you may also benefit from SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID, would this be an option or would you not want to change hotels after the first nite if it would save you some money? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. boomzdaddy Posted March 1, 2012 Author Report Posted March 1, 2012 Actually happened to stumble upon Quikbook.com and found a Secret Sale with good reviews for $179 after fees and everything a night! Don't know if I can beat that on my usually trusty HOTWIRE.com lol
AaronJB Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 What is the star rating of the Quikbook property, and what area is it in?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
