Marlon Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Looking to spend about $75 for something. So far have bid up to $65. How much do you thing it is going to take for my dates?
AaronJB Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 The International Housewares show is 3/10-13 in Chicago and one of the biggest conventions of the year. However, rates are surprisingly not that bad. $75 is probably not going to be enough for a 4* in this zone for these dates (although it's worth trying.) My guess is that you're likely looking at $85-95 +/-.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Marlon Posted March 1, 2012 Author Report Posted March 1, 2012 Aaron, I'd Love to get the Embassy Suites Downtown booked for my dates. Can you please suggest a strategy. So far I've bid as high as $95/night and Priceline suggested I go as high as $108. I'm not sure that I want to go that high. I also like Inn of Chicago which I think Hotwire is giving me for $111 (High Speed, Business, Fitness). Any Suggestions? I don't mind using Hotwire either.
Marlon Posted March 1, 2012 Author Report Posted March 1, 2012 Just won the Chicago Hilton for $95. Thanks guys!
AaronJB Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Congrats on your success.Remarkable deal for this property, and surprising given that the large convention is going on.In terms of specific properties, there is no way to increase the odds of a particular property (such as the ES Downtown) when bidding.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
