AaronJB Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Properties in NYC offer smaller rooms on average than in most cities and there are hotels at the 3.5* and 4* level in Manhattan zones where fitting a rollaway or couch may be difficult. Additionally, it's definitely not uncommon for hotels to charge a premium for two beds. PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy, and that's particularly true in NYC. One can request two beds, but the hotel could be unwilling or unable to offer the option (or may charge more.)HOTWIRE would be a better option as you can search for the amount of people in the room. However, searching for 3 on HOTWIRE is going to be more expensive. PRICELINE would be the cheapest option, but there'd be a significant chance you would not be able to get 2 beds.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
