dahammer
Got this rental about a week in advance as I was not successful bidding up to $45. Ended up with a Ford Focus, with taxes it was $67.50. I bought the collision damage waiver through PRICELINE for $11. Got the high pressure "upsell" from the agent to buy Budget's CDW, she stated that the PRICELINE insurance would still make me liable for a total loss in case there was an accident. She also tried hard to upsell on the car class as well. I asked her to call the Ft. Myers rental counter and see if they needed any Lincoln Town Cars as I would be happy to bring one up and I would not charge Budget for driving a less fuel efficient vehicle. She quickly printed out my rental agreement and tossed me the keys to the Focus which got about 35 mpg. Link to comment
