Priceline Hotel: South Lake Tahoe - Failed Bids

Attemping 3 nights from 7/6-7/9 (Harveys).

Started at $55 since I've seen others accepted at $50, but rejected.

Added Carson City (no 4 star hotels), went to $60, no dice.

Waited the 72 hours, attempted again at $65 & $70.

Finally removed one night (Wed, since Harveys website has that night at a higher rate) and bid &$75 for 7/7-7/9, with no luck.

I'm going to take a break before I go back, need to book something in the next couple of days.

I don't know if the Friday night, is the hang-up. But, I may have to move down to a 3 star....

Date of stay: 7/6-7/9

1st Bid - South Tahoe $50...failed @ $50.

2nd Bid - added Carson City (no 3* there)...raised to $60 failed again.

Looking at Horizon's Website, they're offering a $69 hot deal fair for Wed & Thurs night. But when I called to make the reservations, I requested a non-smoking room and was informed that the NS rooms were sold out. However, they have another tower that has a better view and a NS room for $20 more :) .

It's tough to pay $89 for a 3*, when I've seen others getting a 4* for $50.
