brit28 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I am planning a trip to Chicago checking in on Friday 3/24 checking out on Sunday 3/26. I have an offer accepted I think of $109 for a 3 star in the magnificent mile. Is there anyway to know which one it is before putting in credit card and getting charged? Or has anyone booked any hotel using name your own price for these dates? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
thereuare Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!I assume the zone you're bidding is 'North Michigan Ave-River North' as there is no 'Mag Mile' zone on PRICELINE. I assume you think you have an offer because you've submitted a price and PRICELINE is asking you to review the information and showing you how much it will cost? If so, PRICELINE is simply asking you to review your information to make sure it is correct before submitting since all purchases are non-refundable/non-cancelable.With PRICELINE there is no way to know which hotel you will receive before the purchase. You can use our Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins to see if anyone else has reported a win for all or part of these dates, although that is still no necessarily indicative of what you will receive for your own trip. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
brit28 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Report Posted February 25, 2012 ok, the hotel indigo is 149 a night and the four points sheraton is 160 my offer is $109 which hotel do you think it is most likely?
AaronJB Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 There are several possible 3*'s in this area, as well as several possible 3.5*'s (a 3* bid can possibly be upgraded to 3.5*.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
brit28 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Report Posted February 25, 2012 Oh wow I did not know a 3 could possible be a 3.5 thats good to know. Thank you so much when I book I will post my deal here. thanks
brit28 Posted March 2, 2012 Author Report Posted March 2, 2012 Booked on reserve travel. The Tremont hotel for 2 nights 210 and change. Then found this same hotel on lastminutetravel.com, so I cancelled, and I went with the Wyndham for $250 total for 2 nights through lAstminutetravel.com
AaronJB Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Thank you for closing the thread. In terms of the Wyndham, there's a Corner Bakery (breakfast/lunch/dinner) on the opposite corner if you don't feel like going very far at all, but don't want to use room service.
