Rachel Thompson Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Hi, I'm in doubt about a location in Las Vegas. I want a 5stars hotel in the strip south (Aria, cosmopolitan, Vdara), but at priceline only has the option Strip Vicinity South. Is it the same? I want to go 5/02/12-05/05/12. Any tips?Thank you!
thereuare Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Yes, 'Strip South' on the board is the same as 'Strip South Vicinity' on PRICELINE.If you let us know your maximum bid for this trip we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Rachel Thompson Posted February 25, 2012 Author Report Posted February 25, 2012 Hi,My maximun bid is $100,00.
thereuare Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I think it will likely take more than $100 to win a 5* hotel for these dates, but if you wan tto give it a try:At the 5* level you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip South...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100If the above is rejected is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? If so, i would re-try the above for 5/2-5/4 for which i do think you'll be successful... then you can bid separately for 5/4-5/5 where you will likely need to raise your maximum bid and/or lower your star rating. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
