The Trump, Venetian and Palazzo have all been reported to the board with this amenity set, so any of these would be among the likely outcomes.

However, when i do a current HOTWIRE search for your dates a different amenity set is shown for the 5* hotel offered, an amenity set consistent with previous reports for the Trump... is this one of the hotels you're looking for?

Actually, I was looking to get the Venetian or the Palazzo. The amenity set changed overnight and the added kitchenette is a dead giveaway for the Trump. Any other way I can get the Venetian or the Palazzo for that price on that weekend? Maybe try Priceline?

HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, and there isn't anything you can do to 'force' a specific property to be offered.

I'd also guess that it is likely that the previous hotel you originally saw was the Trump as well, if so, there isn't any basis to expect the Venetian or Palazzo at this same rate (since if correct, neither of these properties were ever offered at this rate for these dates)

Is Strip South not acceptable?

Yeah, you're right, the previous hotel was probably the Trump, too. I'd rather not stay in the South. I might take a shot with Priceline and if I do, I'll use your link.
