nycboundin2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 My 10 y.o daugter and i are visiting my sister in dc at the end of june and are going to spend 2 days in nyc to see a broadway show, empire state building, ground zero, and maybe a ferry ride to see lady liberty. I visited dc last year and it took 2 days of alot of wasted time trying to figure out how to get where we were going and how to work the metro. Since we are only going to be there 2 days i would love any tips or advice anyone has...we would like to stay in a 3* possibly 4* hotel near midtown, central park, time square, theatre district. After looking at priceline and hotwire i see this must be a peak time so i am going to try and negotiate and would even stay 2 nights if the price was right. What section should i start with and whats a good starting price? Thanks so much for any help and advice!

nycboundin2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 I would love to find a hotel somewhere between $100-150 range a 2.5* to 4* in the central park, midtown, theatre district, time square area. We will be staying one night definitly maybe 2 if i can get a good price. We want to go to the lion king show, ground zero, central park and maybe a ferry ride to see statue of liberty.
thereuare Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Searching HOTWIRE for your 2 nite dates there is an 'outlier' in the sense that it is priced below most of the other hotels offered of similar quality in nearby zones... a 3* hotel in the ESB zone for $136/nite (your price may differ slightly) showing Restaurant and Internet amenities. This matches previous reports for the Hotel Bedford and that would be my best guess for this one... would this work for your needs?
