Dessie Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Posted February 23, 2012 Thank you for your respond. I'm travelling with my husband and our 3 children in age of 20-11.Free parking is a must since we are on a route trip to Florida.Unfortunately the Hampton inn is not in the hotel list anymore.
thereuare Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 So we can replicate your search, how many adults/children are you included in your search above? As you can only search for up to quad occupancy, how many adults/children are you including in your current HOTWIRE search(es)?Free parking is a must since we are on a route trip to Florida.Note that you can't guarantee free parking with any HOTWIRE purchase (unless you're looking at a Condo property and the Free Parking amenity is shown). You can take a guess as to the property being offered and then research if parking is free at the hotel you believe you're being offered, but you could always receive something other than expected and the hotel won could have a parking charge. Fortunately the savings usually received thru PRICELINE / HOTWIRE more than make up for any parking charges at the hotel won vs. purchasing a hotel conventionally that offers free parking, but this is a point that you need to be aware of and willing to accept (just like you'll have to accept the risk of booking a room for quad occupancy and showing up with five guests)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Gallus50 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I traveled to Savannah last spring and will be again this year. Stayed in the 3* Residence Inn Midtown. In the Midtown area, virtually no hotels charge for parking. In the Historic District, it would be something to worry about. But in MIdtown, it almost certainly won't be an issue. Am investigating 3* myself for our upcoming May trip. Will get back to you on an educated guess.
Gallus50 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Based on TA rating, I'm thinking Springhill Suites or Residence Inn. It's only a guess, but if it's either of these hotels, it's a very good deal.

I end up not using hotwire and priceline, because we really needed an bigger room.
