Priceline Hotel: 4* Financial, USE, USW

I have trying to bid on a 4* hotel for my 1 year anniversary without any luck and wanted to see everyone's thoughts on how I should proceed.

My trip is not until September, am I starting way to early?

I have reached up to $140 for the USE, USW, Financial and Fishermans Wharf. Not sure if I should just hold off and try and bid again come May or so.

Also, in reading the last post I saw that the normal rate for this time of year is mid 200-300. I also looked back to last year and people were getting successful bid attempts around this range.

I have gotten cars multiple times off priceline but this will (hopefully) be my first hotel reservation so was just looking for a little guidance.
