Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip) Venetian

Hi guys,

I just tried priceline, after seeing all the venetian bids for $100. I was hoping to get a good deal as our dates are for Sat night, sunday night and monday night.

But unfortunately on priceline, $100 was rejected, as was $120 (i'm not quite sure of the counter offers as a friend of mine did the actual bidding.)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

We wouldn't mind 4* either (although venetian or bellagio are our preferred spots), provided it is on the strip (right now without priceline it seems treasure island at $149, $79 and $79 is our best bet for a 4*.)

Saturday nite check-ins can often be a problem in Vegas, are you willing to SPLIT YOUR BID?

I'm heading out in a bit but let us know if splitting is an option and we'll take a closer look when we return later tonite.

Yeah we are willing to split our bid, knowing that we may have to switch hotels on sunday morning...

Provided it is 5*and on the strip, splitting is not a problem (as it seems 5* only refers to Veneitian and Bellagio.)

You should have success at the 5* level for 7/31 - 8/2. Both nights are at their special rate, so it should be accepted at $99 on Priceline.

This just leaves 7/30 up in the air.

Do you mean if you're changing to a 5* hotel it's not a problem... you don't necessarily need a 5* for Saturday nite, do you?

Actually yeah 4* on a saturday would be okay to, provided it's on the strip...

I'm glad to hear that 99 for the sun and monday shouldn't be a problem if we do the split, thanks...

Please firm up your plans as to whether you would like to split the bid or not before we do the research for your stay, as it will differ whether we are looking for just one Saturday nite or a continuous 3 day stay.

From reading above it seems that you has already said it was "ok" to split the bid with a 4* on Saturday and the 5* for the remainder of the stay, no?

I would think you would want to secure the 7/31-8/2 for a 5* before going for the nite of 7/30 (since you're split i dependent upon 5* success for the remainder of your stay).

I would select 5* and bid $99.

Get that confirmed and then we'll look for the lone nite of the 7/30.

So finally our bid was accepted for 7/31-8/2 for a 5* at $99/night (at venetian.)

Now remains finding something for one night Sat. Jul 30.
