Hotwire Hotel: Request for ID help - 4* MTE and MTC at 90% recommended

Hi, I'm a first time user, using the HOTWIRE link here to book a 10 night stay in NYC from 2/26 - 3/7

I'm trying to find out what these 2 options might be, and I'd love any help!

4* MTE $160/night: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet, Tennis nearby

or

4* MTC $196/night: High Speed Internet

Both are 90% recommended.

I'm not currently seeing either of these properties offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

Running the search again now, I can only see the MTE $160/night option now - same as before 4*, 90%, same amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet, Tennis nearby

Looking at your hotel list, I think it might be either Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental... but hoping someone could confirm/help?

I think it will be the intercontinetal Barclay as I have just booked through Hotwire just then and it was the same amenities

These amenities do match both the InterContinental Barclay and the Grand Haytt, so either of these would be a likely outcome for this one.

Given the price is the same as Cjl1411's recent purchase, the InterContinental might be slightly more likely, but since his/her dates are different than your own, not too much can be concluded from this similarity and you should be prepared for either.

Many thanks for your help and suggestions. I ended up booking directly with another hotel at a good rate, which ultimately appealed more.

Actually, I didn't proceed with an auction. I chose a non-auction hotel. Unfortunately with my late booking and lengthy 10-night stay, there was such limited choice - only 1 hotel that matched. I ended up going with a different 4* hotel through their direct reservations as they offered a reasonable and comparable price which included a discount for my lengthy stay.

I don't think the auction system is really designed to 'reward' longer stays, sadly. Thanks again for the help, and look forward to returning to the site for future auction bookings.
